Ii" elected I will use my best endeavor;, in your interests and in the further advancement of the Borough.— J am, ladies and gentlemen, M. W. ARMSTRONG. mO THE ELECTORS OF 1 .WHANGAREI. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.—Having been asked by a number of Ratepayers and electors to come out as a Candidate for the Borough Council I have consented. I think I may claim an average interest in the town, seeing I have Hved here since 1881, and have watched the gradual progress and development from Town Board to Borough. I fully realise that right now we have reached a very momentuous point in the hibtory of Whangarei. The most important item before us I consider to be the Wairua Electrical Scheme, which should be pushed to a successful issue. Next to this comes lhe right expenditure of the loan moneys, the responsibility of which commences with the future Council. If elected I shall do my best in the two foregoing items, also any other proposals for the future progress of the Borough.—l am, Ladies and Gentlemen, ' Yours faithfully, JOSEPH PALMER.
