HIGH POWER WIRELESS.

ON TIIE TINAKORI HILLS,

WELLINGTON, April 13.

The Government has decided to acquire a site of about twelve acres, on the Tinakori Hills, for a high-power wireless telegraphy station. The establishment of the station above Wellington is part of the scheme of four high-power stations at various parts of New Zealand which Cabinet two months ago decided to carry out. The land which it is proposed to acquire is Native land, and is in the viciniiy of the trig-station.
