(Own Correspondent.) The Hokianga Tennis Club played a return mq,tch against Kaikohe on February 18th. The game was very even throughout. The leading residents entertained the visitors, and in the evening a concert was held in Mr Dickeson's Hall in aid cf the Hokianga Club. Cattle stealing has been very rife of late, and it is time the owners made use of a registered brand to save themselves. It is to be hoped that the two cases sent to the Supreme Court (both convicted) will be a warning tc others. •> ■———— '"
