Mr Macnamara, Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty, speaking at the Fishmongers' Society dinner, dejlored the magnitude of naval estimates when money was needed for social reform, but England was vitally dependent on her seaborne supplies, end had a vital obligation to maintain unassailably a supreme navy at vhatever cost.

He would hail with pleasure any international proposals to enable them to call a halt.
