PALMERSTON N., Dec. 9

During the stay of the Auckland express here yesterday, a large delegation of the local Liberal League waited on Sir J. G. Ward, and presented him with an address congratulating him upon the successful conclusion of the arduous session, and expressing sympathy with him in the iTToss personal attacks made upon him. " Sir Joseph Ward feelingly replied, expressing thanks for the expressions of confidence.
