EXCITING BALLOON JOURNEY.
CAUGHT IN A GALE.
(Received December 6, 11.18 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 5.
Some German balloonists, who started from Munich for Switzerland on Saturday, were caught in a gale and driven across the North Sea at a terrific rate. They succeeded in landing in the Orkneys on Sunday.
One passenger was jerked overboard and drowned.
