GOVERNMENT HOUSE IN AUCKLAND.
A SOUTHERN PROTEST
DUNEDIN, Sept. 23.
The Otago Trades Council unanimously passed a resolution protesting against the expenditure of public moneys on the Governor's residence in Auckland as unnecessary and entirely unwarranted. The Council decided to urge the Dunedin and suburban members to resist any vote being passed for the purpose.
