A LADY BARRISTER.
MISS REES
GISBORNE, Sept. 22
At the Supreme Court this morning, Miss Annie Lee Rees Avas admitted to the Bar. A large number of ladies and prominent business men were in attendance. Judge Chapman congratulated Miss Rees and wished her a successful career, remarking on the advance made since his boyhood days, when angry comments were made upon the aspirations of women to obtain university degrees.
