MENTS
Wellington, June 27. The position of Commissioner of Taxes, rendered vacant by the resignation of Mr Peter Heyes, has been filled by the appointment of Mr George F. C. Campbell, formerly Valuer-General. Mr t. W. Flanagan, Commissioner of Crown Lands at Christchurch, has been appointed ValuerGeneral. Mr Robieson, Director of the Commerce and Tourists Division in the Department of Agriculture, will succeed Mr Campbell as Manager of the State Fire Insurance Department. Mr B. M. Wilson, Registrar o* the Arbitration Court, succeeds Mr Robieson as Director of the Tourists Division. It is not intended to attach the Valuation Department to the Taxation Department. The Valuation Department will be kept separate from the Taxation Department and all departments lending money.
