Greymduth, December 7. A steward named Filda fell off the wharf yesterday, and was drowned Robert Hall, third officer of the Kittawa, went to -the rescue, and sue : ceeded in getting a rope round the deceased, by means of which he was pulled on deck. Artificial respiration proved futile.
