FRUITGROWERS' ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Fruitgrowers' Association was held at the County Council Offices on Thursday evening. Messrs Dobbie, E. Eeyburn, MacKay, Corns, Hoey, Lupton, and Major Dobbie being present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Some discussion took place relative to carting in Auckland from the steamer to the various fruit marts. The Secretary was instructed to obtain from the auctioneers a schedule of charges for carting, including wharfage, for use of members. The next being the annual meeting for the election of officers for ensuing year, and also for altering the rules, etc. Mr H. Dobbie gave notice that he intended to bring before the meeting an amendment of rule 7. After some further discussion the meeting terminated.
