Potatoes worth from £2 10/ to £4 5/ pnr ton, ring is wide but quality is very wide ; prime Hobarts scarce, and great many of provincial show second growth. DAIKY PRODUCE, ETC. In local produce market prices ramain unchanged. Best dairy butter 7d, second quality Gd, third quality 5d per Hi wholesale. Egge 1/ per dozen wholesalo, 1/3 retail. KAURI OUM MARKRT. Qualities of gum coming forward are so poor that some of the buyers express belief that prices must be further lowored. Most sellers have got into a habit during the last two years of picking out good gum to sell separately, and this has been carried to such an extent that all qualities are seriously deteriorate. Until this is checked prices will, without doubt, decline. Many buyers believe that prices of re-scraped must be lowered as one of first steps to stop picking of good gum out of ordinary to present ruinous extent, and although there is somo opposition this fall must come. There is less demand for East Coast, and one or two of the buyers havo stooped' buying at present prices. Supplies continue undiminished being for 18 days of February about 345 tons. We quote with unsettled market:— Poor ordinary, 33/ to 36/; fair ordinary, 37/ to 39/ : beat ordinary (unsettled) 40/ ; East Coast (unsettled) buyers 52/, sellers (best quality) 55/. A. BUCKLAND & SONS' REPORT. At Eemuora on T hurday, dairy cattle woro in usual numbers, but many were withdrawn, sellers seeking more than buyers woro williug to give ; store cattle sold freely at full values ; fat cattle were in average numbers, 230 were sold, prices were steady throughout tho salo ; steers at 16/, cows 11/ to 12/ per lOOlbs. Calves were in usual numbers and kept last week's improved values. Sheep were in full numbers and were better worth than last week from 9d to 1/ each, which may be accounted for by the improved weather ; lougwooluil wethers 13/ to 14/, crossbred 12/ to 13/, inerino3 9/, longwooled ewes 9/ to 12/, crossbred 8/, merino 7/ to 8/ each, woro prices obtained ; fat lambs were in usual numbers and kept their values, prices ranged from 9/ to 14/ each. ThoiD was a full number of pigs, mostly porkers of good quality sold well, a draft of 50- from a dairy factory averaged 29/, wcaners 8/ to 9/ each.
