WHITECHAPEL MURDERS.

The first report is received from the New South Wales representatives at the Dunedin Exhibition is, that the display made by New South Wales is equal to any display in the Exhibition. Messrs Ellery, Eussell, and Todd discredit Egessns theory for the prediction of an extensive drought lasting from the middle of next year to the end of 1893. Adelaide, October 2. A cabman named Crawford shot his wife three times. The tmfortunate woman is dying. The cause is attributed to dissolute habits of wife. Melbourne, this day. A man named Thos. White murdered another man named John Welford to-day, by driving a long knife into his heart. White was jealous of the other on account of attentions paid by latter to his wife. Vienna, October 3. Fremdenblatt, one of the leading political papers in this city, in an article dealimr with Bulgarian affiairs, urges the Porte to re-consider Prince Ferdinand's right to the throne, and declares that the concurrence of Great Powers should be received.
