" Acceptance, of. Distance, 1£ miles. Pony Race of — soys. Distance, I mile. Top weight, 9 Btone; 71bs. allowed for every inch under the 14 hands standard. Same qualification as Maiden Hurdles. Distance, 1 mile, for all beaten horses. Entrance, 4/. EULES. Qualification fee, 10^. The second horse in every race to receive 10 per cent, out of the stakes. In the event of only two horses starting for any race, the Ist horse to receive only 75 per cent, of the prize money, the 2nd horse nil. Winners to pay 5 per cent, of their gross winnings for expenses of course. Waiklng Geeasy Boom. Subscribers of 10/ to the funds of the Club allowed a rebate of 50 per' cent, on the entertrance money. Entries for races Nos. 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, and 10 close with the Secretary, Whangarei, on Dec. 14th, 1887, at 8 p.m , or with Mr A. T. Allwood, at Mrs Harriett's, Parua Bay, at same time and date. All entrance money must be paid at time of entering boats. Distinguishing colours must be carried and given at time of entry. No restrictions as to canvass. ■ No shifting ballast.
