LIGHTING AUCKLAND BY ELECTRICITY.
J. C. Firth, who is negotiating 1 to light the City by electricity, proposes for trial at Christmas, to place lights in Queen Street, at corners of Customs, Fort, Shortland, Wyndam, Victoria, Wellesley, and Grey Streets. He will run lights free for one week, and charge nothing for putting up the plant.
