In the event of only two horses starting in any race 75 per cent, of the prize money onto will be paid. ' Qualification fee for non members one guinea, All horses to take their age from Ist of Aug. No entries will be received for any race except on this condition: that all disputes claims, and objections shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or whom they may appoint. Their decision on all points concerning the carrying out of this programme shall be final. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 1 soy., which sum shall be forfeited tc the funds if the protest be deemed frivilous. Any jockey riding except in the colours entered will be fined 3 soys. When two or more horses start belonging tc the same owner, a distinguishing colour must be worn. The attention of owners is particularly called to this rule. l*o entry will be received, on any pretence whatever, after the hour named, nor without being accompanied by the necessary amount in cash. All persons intending to withdraw homes are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of Scales, one hour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine not exceeding 5 soys. to the funds. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary, Hikurangi, entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at time of entry, pedigree, performances of the horse, name of the owrer and colour ot the rider. Winners to pay 5 per cent, of their gross winnings towards the expenses of the course. Three horses to be nominated or no race. All races to be run under the rules of the Auckland Racing Club Rules.
