Bakewell, M.D., Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in England, and late visiting Physician to the Christchurch Hospital, has taken up his abobe iv Auckland, and may be consulted at his office is Hobsonstreet. Dr. Bakewell has had a most extensive hospital practice, and is without doubt one of the leading phy means and surgeons, in the colony. He ha 3 been the first doctor in this colony to reduce the medical fees to the English ntes, as a result of which he has perhaps the most extensive practice in Auckland. He advertises that consultations may also be made by letter, and will meet with prompt attention. The advertisement of the London and Berlin Piano Importing Company,' of which Mr W. H. Webb is manager, appears on our third page. Pianos, Organs or Harmoniums may be obtained from tnis firm on deferred payment or hire system. Catalogues will be forwarded gratis on application. Those in need of instruments should not fail to obtain one. Mr G. B. Howard, formerly licensee of the Commercial Hotel, Whangarei, and late of the Albert and Hobson Hotels, Auckland, has now become proprietor of that well known and famous hostelry, the Clarendon Hotel, at the corner of Wakefield and Queen-streets, where he 'Will be glad to Be© all his old Whangarei friends ana patrons pay him a visit. His advertisement appears in our columns. Mr Andrew Buchanan advertises that he is a buyer and seller of gum, fungus, hides, skins, tec. Any commissions entrusted to him will be executed.
