THESE INCUBATORS are made to meet the demand for a cheap, and at the same time reliable, machine. The principle followed in their construction is to copy the action of nature as closely as possible. They are essentially the amateur's machine, as the price is within the reach of all, and the principle is so simple that a child can understand it. They are heated with kerosene ; and the temperature of the eggs is regulated automatically, entirely doing away with the 1 constant attention neccessary with most Incubators. So simple, and yet so perfect, is the principle, that the amateur can depend upon obtaining as good results as the most experienced ; ninety per cent, of healthy chicks being obtained at a first trial. These mothers have proved highly successful in rearing all kinds of poultry. They can be used under cover or in a coop, just the same as a natural mother; are cleaner, require much less attention, and the chickens thrive equally well. The heat is supplied by filling a cistern with two parts of boiling water once or twice a day, according to the age of the chickens and state of the weather. Each mother accommodates fifty chickens.
