A torchlight procession is projected to proceed to a. meeting summoned at Uotherhithe on Monday, but Sir Chas. Warren, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police;, kas issued an order prohibiting the profession. A protest has been made by the leaders! of the unemployed against the proclamation oi ! Sir Charles Warren, on the ground that it infringes the right of fre& speech. A large force of military have received instructions to be in readiness should their services be required to enforce order. London, October 21. The unemployed in London looted the baker's shops in Piccadly, but were, dispersed by police before any further mischief was done. London, October 23. At the unemployed meeting in Trafalgar Square yesterday, a number of speeches were delivered, in which demands for work were a prominent feature. The crowd marched to Westminster Abbey, where two thousand of their number attended Divine service. The men generally were very orderly in their conduct, an.d at the conclusion, of the service re turned to Trafalgar Square, where they dispersed. The $ unemployed declare that numbers are marching to London from the provinces* to assist in the agitation.
