RENTS IN IRELAND.
London, September 30.^ Archbishop Walsh, who recently* suggested a conference between landlords and tenants on the rent question, has been, invited by the convention of landlords to nominate delegates on behalf of. the tenants. Archbishop Walsh, in reply, says that although the convention has approved of his proposal, he is not sanguine that there will bo any succesful result, and he fears further delay will take place before the tenants will secure the advantages and benefits for which they are agitating.
