An excelisaai spirit pervaded the meeting, and decisions were taken calculated to i&ake this particular activity move with a vim. It was decided that the Sale of Work will be held on some date early in November, and that a number of .afferent forms of entertainment should be run. A gents' committee was appointed and given charge of several sideshows. This committee will meet in "the Trades Hall on Thursday, September 6, to make final arrangements. Another Joint meeting of our women comrades and Trade Union workers will also be held on Thursday of this week in the Trades Hall, and to this meeting everybody willing to assist is cordially invited. J-s a means of organising the .greatest possible demand when the sale <4akes place, coupon books containing #0 tickets at 6d a ticket are now being issued. Such coupons will be ac"cepted as cash at the various stalls. • By uurchas'ins, say, two coupons a **reek workers will have saved a buying power of 10/-, and for this amount ■ ihe best return is possible, because -mc articles to be sold will be of a * quality at less than profiteers' prices.
