Minister and otherwise a big: maccaroni of the blackshirt pudding, has openly stated the desire of the Fascists for "an Italian Empire -without^the House of Savoy"—quite a delicate paraphrase for one of his garb. Mussolini's recent refusal of " the King's offer of the Grand Cordon of the Annunziata —though possibly dictated by a merely instinctive aversion to the ropy title of the decorationhas served to strengthen the general suspicion that mischief of some sort is j afoot.
