Correction
•On Monday moiuing of last week the editor- of this paper banded to each of the- chree daily ■ papers in Wellington a letter denying Mi*'. A. B. Sicyw'right's allegation that Mr. H. ,K. Holland had declared in favour of civil war, Tir:? did not appear in-the '•Evening Post", that night, although 't was of the most urgent importance. H ■■appeared neither in the "Dominion" nor the "N.Z. Times" the following morning. An article Avas written, for The MaoriliMiil "Worker" on Tuesday morning—the paper Avent to press 'early on Tuesday afternoon —in wlr'ch it AA'as stated that the three papers had suppressed the letter. In Tuesday evening's issue the "Post" published it. We therefore withdraw cur statement with respect- to, the "Post," and we will say here that the "Post," outside its leading columns, has treated the Labour Party- with; fairplay and even generosity. The "N.Z. Times" and "Dominion" were denounced at several meetings on Tilesday and Wednesday , for withholding; the letter from publication, and .on j Thursday, (after Mr. ■ Slevwright hadj repeated' his deception, the' "Domia-j ion" allowed it to appear.; In the same issue the "Dominion" published a - letter from Mr. W. Nash, Secretary of the. N.Z. Labour :: Party, which, it had;Jield up for three weeks. The "N.Z. -Times" refused to print the! letter altogether,"' *"
