The new union o£ these workers lately formed is meeting with encouraging support, and has an assurance from the Wellington sand Christciiurch Unions of financial help in obtaining an award, claims for which, are now being drafted. At its last -meeting the Union, unanimously' agreed that the proposed agreement with the Employers' must be satisfactorily seitled before the General Elections are held. Mr. H. O'Malley, secretary of th© Wellington will be invited to represent the Union at, the conference with the eiui?loyero f/1 ~:.
