OTAGO MUSTERERS' UNION MEETING
A r.pecial meeting of the members o£ the above Union was held at Pembroke on March 29 last. Mr. Bremner presided.
The following resolution was carried unanimously:—"That the National Executive take immediate steps to get an amendment of the Award on the grounds that on no station in tho Dominion do musterers work by the week, and that therefore the Award should fix wages at so much per day."
Speaking to this resolution Mr. Boreham said that the time had arrived when the organisation of'this class of. worker should be undertaken by somebody capable of doing the ■work efficiently. He claimed that the New Zealand AVorkers' Union was the only organisation on the surface just at present able to tackle, the job properly. On behalf of those resent he # thanked the Dunedin section of the AVorkers' Union for the support given 1o the musterers during the recent dispute.
