SPANISH WORKERS WINNISE
"Lo Populaire," of February 12, states that, according to its special! 'correspondent, the great lock-out which the Employers' Federation of Spain began last September, is falling. '• In Madrid it collapsed on January 15, on which Oate workshops and fatetoriei were reopened; at Barcelona, on Feb<ruary 9, the employers'declaring that they yielded to the injunctions of the Government. Work, however, has no\ yet begun,.because the workers pre< fer to press ihe*lr own claims. The working-class organisation which it was intended to destroy, remains un* shaken. At Madrid., it ie the General Uniou of Workers -which has triumphed; at Barcelona, the General Confederation of Labor. Both org&nisa* tlons have done sterling work.
