N.Z. Labor Party
OTVHANGO BBAIfCH
The Laborites in this corner of this Mammon-ridden country are alive to the fullest extent to their responsibilities as men having humanist ideas. We vievr with disgust and alarm the indentured slavery .ideas of our hungry capitalists, and havo placed the following resolution on record:— "That this branch of the New Zealand Labor Party regards indentured labor as a disgrace to any Government. We heartily approve of Mr. Holland's action in inquiring into the Fiji strike question, and "congratulate him on his report on behalf of the Labor Party JM.P.'s on Samoa and Fiji."
We also wish to have our say on the Alice Parkinson question, and nave passed the undermentioned resolution:—"That this branch of the New Zealand Labor Party, being men of humanitarian views, are in favor of releasing Miss Alice Parkinson, and L do not regard it as creditable to' our [country to keep her in prison."—A. DEVEREUX.-
