In this pamphlet tho well-known writer, Allan L. Benson, describes ■' how Henry Ford, tho autmobile manufacturer, set out little more than a year : Hgo to give 10.000,000 dollars a year [to his employees, and how, having actunlly dono this, his profits enormously i increased. Before the Ford profit- ; sharing plan was introduced the averI age wage paid by tho concern wns 29 I cents an hour. It is now 61 cents an i hour. Other manufacturers elill pay j about 29 cents. Of course-, the example does not make a cose for profit- ' sharing. It demonstrates that collec- | tive ownership and control would furni ish tho greatest of all incentives toi wards human endeavor. (Fifty cents a 'hundred).
