To Shearers
By M. LARACY
• AN APPEAL.
A statement of amounts received from shearers and abed hands will be published in next issue of "The Worker." Any shed representative not being in poasesfcion of levy tickets should notify secretary. The Shearers' executive appeal to ■workers in the shearing industry and sympathisers to forward all cash possible to the Shearers' Union office, Wellington. The cash will fee immediately handed over to the Distress Fund Committee, andl an account of same will appear in these columns later. Dorjft bother about how long the fight will last, but concentrate your attention on gaining a victory for those v.-ho fight monopolies and against those who forget how they got there, and are now' willing to ride old comrades down. I say right here, this fight can yet be won. Where is body of the public, not saying a word about bewailing their fate because cash is not coming in? Speak up, you people of New Zealand. Where is Mr. Massey? No need to ask; ho is with thoso who carry tie bludgeon. Wbeie is Herdman? Well, he was never anywhere else than as at present, up against the workers. Herdman is consistent, he i? straight; but 1 do ask my workor friends to expert nothing from him, for he at no time lead you to believe you aad any hope. Shearers and sh<d hands, don't stand back, for we want funds. Strikers, oon't lone heart, your case is won. if you stand your ground.
