N.Z. AMATEUR BOXERS.
The N.Z. amateur hexing championship carnival ol Ill.?, which was hold l in the Wellington Town Hall last week, may be ranked high in the. list of similar fixtures, the. only lly in the honey cf success being the execrable weather ou each of the three nights of the tourney. There wore m-ord entries and contestants, several slashing scraps, good crowds of spectators, and the arrangements were as near perfection as it is possible to get- in this imperfect world, the management by the Wellington Roving Association seeming to run on hall bearings, so smooth and frictfonless was it. The following came out.championship winners in their respective classes: —J. Gunn, bantams; G. Barr, feathers; At. McOrath, lightweights; G. Watchorn, welters; >S. Monaghan, middles: it. Eitzsimmons, heavies.
