Cunningham-Reid. members for St. Marylebone in the House of Commons, sued his wife, who is co-heiress with her sister, Lady Louis Mountbatten, to the £6,000,000 estate of Sir Ernest Gassel, and whose income is said to amount to between £70,000 and £90,000 a year, for a share of the income. The case was settled 1 out of court. It is understood that he will be given an income of £lO,000. Proceedings for 'divorce were also instituted by both sides. Divorce Proceedings Likely to be Abandoned. London,, Jan. 31. The ‘Daily Telegraph’s” special correspondent understands that Captain Cunningham-Reid and his wife will probably abandon the divorce petitions “as an indication of goodwill and a genuine desire, for discontinuance of litigation.” Nevertheless, the Chancery Court settlement does, not foreshadow a reconciliation.
