W.D.F.U.

The monthly meeting of the Beaumont branch was held on Wednesday last, Mrs Dimmock being in the chair. The motto for the day- was “Unity is strength” and the rollcall “Your Favourite Fruit.” In the competition “Toffee,” Mrs Dwyer was placed first, Airs Brook second and Mrs Mallon third. A guessing competition was then held after which afternoon tea was served. Mrs Mallon then gave a very interesting talk on “Country Girls’ Week.” A parcel of useful gifts was received to be forwarded to the Makogai Leper Station.
