ROXBURGH DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB.
On Saturday afternoon last members of the Roxburgh Rifle Club shot off the first series of matches for the Club’s Championship Belt and the “White” Cup. The shoot took place on the club’s range, Roxburgh East. ,and tin' conditions for shooting were very good. In conjunction with the belt and cup series a handicap shoot for free ammunition was also held and the three leading scores arc the prize winners. Sixteen members took part in Hi > shoot, ami and the young members showed considerable improvement. The next shoot will take place on Good Friday, when the President’s cup will be fired for at 200, 300, 500, and 600 yards. The score's in Saturday's match are as follows:
