eluccd to his wile, children and parents. On April 17, 1932, LaurteKhodes, who at the time owned a garage at Beaurnore’s, wen; out in a motor boat to test the engine. A t critic storm broke, and when next morning, the boat was discovered on the beach next Sea,ford there was no trace of DaurieRhodcs. Iliis family gave llvitn up as drowned, and relatives in New Zealand were informed of his supposed death. When Mr Arthur Robert Dodd, a friend saw i.aurie-Rhodes at Bdimswiek he was astoundid as lie relieved him to be dead, lie approach'll him and addressed him by name. lauirie-Khodes look-d surprised, and obviously did not n.cognised liis old friend. Dodd was so shocked that he aiowed him to walk away. He immediately not'died DaurieKlieales’s brother—lan —who set out in search of him. without insult. Three days later however. Do 1 ! twain saw the missing man, and (bis time persuaded him to go to liis familv.
