MILDER ALCOHOL.
RESULTS IN WASHINGTONLESS OIiUNix'ENNESS. Washington, April 10. The actual number of arrests fur drunkenness in the City of Washington has decreased by 30 per cent, since beer reappeared. It appears that more drinkers are satisfied with the milder alcoholic beverage, who formerly drank throat-searing concoctions called gin and Scotch. A curious fact emerges, however, that the younger drinkers uire least appreciative of beer. They represent a generation bred in the United Stales since prohibition began. They never knew genuine legal beer.
