MIXED MARIAGES.
Wellington, Sept. 8. The Legislative Council Committee who dealt with mixed 'marriages recommend a new clause making it an offence punishable by a year's imprisonment or a line of £IOO for alleging expressly, or by implication, that any persons married according to civil law are not truly and sufficiently married, or that the issue of such marriages are illegitimate.
