A team of D'uuedin cricketers, mostsv from the Albion Club, vlaited Roxburgh during Easter holidays, »nd h a d a couple of days' play with a teum of local players. On Friday .i twoinnings' match was played on the Roxburgh pitch, and after rn enjoyable game the visitors proved victorious by the narrow margin oi 15 runs. The crease played rather dead alter the recent rain, but as the day wore on it improved considerably. In the homo team's first strike Peake (1:1) was the only player to reach double figures against the bowling of W. McNeill (5 for 7) and Cameron 1 for 15). For the visitors Grigg (2 ) and Murphy (14) got into double figures, -J. McNeill (5 for 35) and Petre (5 for 27) dividing the wickets. The home team made a better stand in their second venture. R, Toms (Hi), J. McNeill 113), and Peak (111) being top scorers, the wickets heing divided between half-a-dozen of the visitors. In the visitor's second innings the bowling of •(. On Saturday the two teams met on the same pitch in a [second game, when the local players succeeded in beating the visitors in a two-innings' game I.') run*. The visitors responded with a total of 33, none of the players reaching double figures, the bowling of Barber It for 7), Toms (4 for 10), and Petri: (2 for 15) proving rather destructive. At a-ojuarter to 5 the local team v declared their innings closed, with a total of 7(i runs for the loss of five \ wickets in their second strike, Paulin (29) and Toms (2li, not out) playing attractive cricket. Requiring 151 runs to win 1111visitors went in. and from the start made things lively, Gregg (39) Brinslev (11) and Millow (-23) laying on the wood to some ' purpose.
