Dunedin Ram and Ewe Sale.
The above fair was held at Burnside on Thursday. From tho Evening Star of same date we gather that the class of rams entered was not altogether satisfactory and certainly not representative of the llocks of Otago, nor were they up to the stanilerd of last year. Fifteen Romney Marsh stud rams brought Tuigs ; the indivi dual prices ranging from 3gs to 12gs ; tho latter price being obtained for the two-shear rams, Western Model, offered on account of Mr James Miller, Mangatua. In Border Leicesters, l v were sold, the top prices being -o£gs for a two-shear ram, offered by Mr • lames Ross, oi Palmerston. The eighteen fetched 14(>gs—an average of a little over s gs. Two English Leicester. brought -Hus each, and a solitary Lincoln stud rani sold ior 3gs. Only one merino stud ram was penned, but no one seemed anxious to lAiy 1 im. Eight Corriedale stud rams averaged Ls ; the best price being ogs for two one-shear rams. l'he tlock rams averaged from oigs to ,- >gs.
