Stronach, Morris, and Co., Ltd., report for week ended Thursday, March 19, as follows :

Fat .Sheep.—2sß6 w« re penned, rv.ostly medium weight ewes and wethers. I'rinie sheep sold up to last week's rates but medium showed a drop of 6d to Is per head. The operations of freezing buyers tended to regulate prices a good deal. Quotations : Best wethers 24s to 25s I'd, extra good to 29s 3d, medium to good :Ts 6d to 225, best ewes 21s to -3s, j,Ood to 265, medium ISs to 19s, light 13s 6d to 17s.

Fat Lambs.—lloo were penned, the majority being of very good i ( uality. Prices were firm at hist male's rates. Quotations : Best lambs ISs to IPs, extra to 235/ 3d, good 15s fid to 17s Gd, light I3s' 6d to 15s (sd. Fat Cattle.—ls9 were yarded. Prices showed a decline of from 5a to 10s per heart on last week's rates, Quotations—Best bullocks £ll to £l2 Ssi extra to £l4 10h, medium £9 15s to £lO 10s, best cows and heifers jc9 10s to £lO 10s, medium £7 to £8 ss.

Figs.—There was a largo yarding of both fat and store pigs. Baconers and porkers were firm at late ratee but stores showed a drop of about 3s per head. Quotations—Heavy baconers to TfSs,.light oi6a to o3s, porkers 45s to 525, stores to 3ts, slips 16s to 21s, suckers lis 6d to 14s od.

Hides.—We ottered a good catalogue at our last sale when there was keen competition, prices all round showing a rise of fully id per lb. Calfskins advanced fully id per lb. Quotations—Extra stout heavy ox hides i'id to 10$ d, stout heavy 9d to l heavy SJd to i*£d, medium weight bjd to > : jd, light to s%d, extra stout heavy cow to l J§d, heavy :>i:d to Sjd, light to Bsd, damaged > aud inferior cow and ox hides (id to . £d, bull and stag aides GJd to best yearlings i>kd to b%d, medium to Bd, best calfskins lUd to H'jd, medium to y«|U, damaged and inferior to 7Jjd per lb. Oats.—There is a fair demand for prime samples but medium and inferior quality are hard to place. Quotations —Prime milling Is Id to la yjd, good to best feed la Sd to Is 'Jd, inferior to medium Is Cd to Is 7d (sacks extra).

Wheat.—There is a good enquiry for prime milling and iowl wheat also meets with a ready sale. Quotations: Prime milling Velvet 3s lOd to 3s lid, medium to good 3s od to 3s Bd, broken aud damaged 2s yd to 3s 3d per bushel (sacks extra). GIIALN AND PRODUCE REPORT. Potatoes.—During the past week supplies having' been coming forward freely. The bulk of the consignments, however, are badly graded and show signs of disease. The demand is confined to choice quality, which is meeting with a fsir demand at quotations. Badly graded and diseased lots are difficult to quit. We quote—l'rime freshly dug samples £4 to £4 ss, others from £3 per ton accordingly to quality and condition. Chail.—Heavy consignments cantinue to come to hand. New chaff, which is offering freely, is meeting with only a moderate demand. Prime old oaten sheaf is more readily placed at quotations. We quote—Best old oaten sheaf £3 15s to £4, extra choice black o a t to £4 2s 6d, beat new season's £3 10s to £3 15s, medium £3 to £3 5b per ton (sacks extra).
