Defaulting Territorials
Scobie Bowden was charged with failing to attend parade on the '2lst January last and pleaded guilty. Sergeant-Major McMillan appeared for the Defence authorities and said that this was defendant's second oiieu.'e, but latterly he' had attended regularly. On assuring the Beach that he would attend regularly in the future, defendant was lined 5s and costs 7s.
John M'.'Oill was similarly charged for failing to attend parade at Millers Flat on 3rd Match. The defendant did not appear and on S< rgenmt-Major, McMillan stating t'h«' facts a line of 5s and rosis 7s was imposed. das ,). O'Kane (Mr Bod'dn) v. P A. Cordon (Mr Plotcher).—Claim £5 5s for professional dental services. The evidence of plaintiff had been taken tit I Alexandra and was put into Court, lilie defendant in her evidence admitted getting a set of false teeth but .-aid that they had not fitted and she had returned them tor alteration. On lietting ihem again they were still a mis-lit and she sent them back again and got a set from Mt Bundle v.liieh were satisfactory. In non-suiting the plaintiff his Worship commented on the fact of the teeth n>t being i, Court as evidence.
