Stronach, Morris, and Co., Ltd., report for week ended Thursday, !2th March, as follows :
Fat Sheep.—3o67 were yarded, the majority of which were ewes. Heavy weight wether* were in good demand and sold fully up to last sale's rates. Medium quality a*k.l ewes showed a drop of (>d to Is ivr head. Quotations—Best wethers 22s tkl to "21-=. extra good to 27s 9d. medium 21s to 225. light I" s ® 6d to 20s, best evros 20s tki to 225, good ISs to 19s, 14s 6d to 15s tid.
Fat l.ambs. —080 were penned, all being good qualityf Competition was brisk and prices showed a rise of about Od per head. Quotations—Best lambs 10* to 2<>s 6d, good '~s to 18s 6d, light 15? to 16s. Fat .Cattle. —200 head were yarded. Owing to butchers having large supplies on hand prices were easier by about 10s to 15s per head. Quotations—Best bullocks £l2 10s to £ls 10s, medium £lO to £ll 10s, light £7 10s to £9, best cows and heifers £S 10s to £IQ, extra good to £l2 2s 6d, medium £6 15s to £«7 10s, light £5 to £6.
Pigs.—There was a large yar li u o! both fat and store pigs- Prices were easier all round. Quotations —Suckers 13s 6d to 16s, slips ITs to 21s, stores 2">s to 30s, brood sows to £5, porkers 46s to 525. flight baoners 57s to 61s, heavy baconers to 80s. Rabbitskins.—We held our fortnightly sale yesterday when we ottered a medium catalogue. There was good competitian and prices were very firm at last sale's rates. Quotations Best racks 9d to 10id, light racks 7id to 9*d, spring bucks 9d to 12d, spring does to lOJid. stauill Ud to 6d. milky does 7.\d to BAd, horse hair lid to per ib.
[ Sheepskins. At our fortnightly sale ! to-day there was a largo attendant of buyers. Prices rule about the same as at last sale. Pelts showed a slight rise.
