PHENOMENAL WHEAT YIELD
SYDNEY, December 19
The Sydney Morning Herald says that ali the indications show that Australia will this year be blessed with a phenomenal wheat yield. Harvesting is now *o far advanced thai the speculative element is almost absent from any calculation of the yield. In many places it is very heavy, and even in the least favoured localities it is rather above than below the average. RAINS IN VICTORIA. MELBOURNE, December 10. The long spell of heat has broken, and useful rain has fallen! over th# northern areas of the State.
