On Saturday the Millers Flat team visited Coal Creek to .play the return match and after an'eviting Jinish prov od winners by the narrow margin of three runs. The home team batted first and could only knock up 33 runs, W. Toms (7 runs) being top scorer, <*hile the visitors responded with 3/5 mils. "Mr Extras" being top scorer with 'J rune. For the winners Nicholson (1 for lli) and Ballantine (5 for 14) divided the bowling, and for the lo«ere the trundlers were li. loms (4 for U) and McCill (5 for 1$). Afternoon tea was kindly provided by the ladv friends of the home team, and was much appreciated by all and for which they received a vote of thanks and cheers. Following are the scores : Coal Creek. This match has always been looked forward to by players and *n enjoyable game is anticipated. There will be no Association match on Saturday, the next match being on the 3rd January, when Millers Flat and Roxburgh meet on the latter's ground.
