! The B grade match between the Hokowhitu and Bulls Tennis Clubs, in the Manawatu Lawn Tennis Association’s competition, was played at Hokowhitu on Saturday. Hokowhitu beat Bulls by 15 sets to one. The details were as follow, Hokowhitu players mentioned first: — Men’s singles: Colthart beat Taylor 9 5 } Montgomerie beat Dalziell 9—2, O’Connell beat Avison 9 —2, Stock beat Kells 9 —l. Women’s singles: Broughton beat E. Green 9—6, Hoskin beat Hughes 9— i, Stock beat J. Green 9—7, Sievers beat Boddy 9 —5. Men’s doubles: Colthart and Montgomerie beat Taylor and Dalziell 9 —3, O’Connell and Stock beat Avison and Kells 9—o. Women’s doubles: Broughton and Hoskin beat E. Green and Hughes 9—6, Stock and Sievers lost to J. Green and Boddy B—lo.8 —10. Mixed doubles: Colthart and Broughton beat Taylor and E. Green 9 —3, Montgomerie and Hoskin beat Dalziell and Hughes 9—4, O’Connell and Stock beat Avison and J. Green 9—6, Stock and Sievers beat Kells and Boddy 9 —4.
