Criticism of Mr. Paterson Resented
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, De<
The criticism of Air. Stronaeh Paterson by Air. W. Grounds, AI.L.C., during the second reading debate on the Bank of New Zealand Bill in the Legislative Council was referred to at a meeting of the executive of the Associated Chambers of Commerce today. Alembers made it plain that they were not concerned with Mr. Grounds' views on Air. Paterson as a director of the Bank of New Zealand, but said they resented very strongly his remarks on Air. Paterson as a member of the Associated Chambers of Commerce. They placed on record their unanimous approval of Mr. Paterson's service in the cause of free enterprise throughout the Dominion over a long period of years and their confidence in him as a past president and a continuing member of the executive.
