Tribute to Empire’s Dead m Two Wars
Received Sunday, 8.25 pan. LONDON, Nov. 11. The King and Queen and Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret Rose attended the British Legion Festival of Remembrance at Albert Hall. A crowd of 5000 joined in the tribute to the Empire’s dead in two wars. Contingents from all the fighting service! mustered with the massed blue and gold standards of the legion In the arena facing their Majesties. The cheering died down to a silence as the festival was brought to a solemn climax by a shower of red poppy petal! from the roof.
