Patriotic Shop
Last week was taken by the Hebrew Women’s Guild (convenor Mrs. F. J. Nathan). Receipts were £74 9s Id. Cash donations amounted to £2 ss. Prizes for competitions were donated as follows: —Box of chocolates, anonymous; two bottles of preserved fruit, Mrs. Curran; kitchen tidy, Mrs. E. Boock; lady’s hand bag, C. M. Ross Co.; bedside table, Mrs. R. Palmer; doll, Mrs. |M. Levy; plated bread board, Mrs. j Schamrotch; wall mirror, Mrs. Adler; China coffee set, Watchorn’s Ltd.; reading lamp, Art Cabine Coy.; child’s j chair, Mrs. Scott Smith; iced Christinas cake, Mrs. R. Lavis; box groceries, 'Mr. L. Hughes; six dozen eggs, Mrs. P. Benjamin; travelling bag, G. 11. Bennett Ltd.; toilet set, Mrs. F. J. Nathan; rocking chair, Collinson and Cunninghame. Mrs. F. J. Nathan conveys thanks to all who contributed in any way to the success of this effort. The A.N.A. Club has tho shop this week. I Mrs. S. J. Parkes is visitor for the shop committee. Further amounts of £1 and £3O 2s to be added to the Rotary Club ladies’ effort makes their total £122 ss.
