The Dominion Auctioneerng Company reports a good sale of pigs and poultry at the weekly sale, a total clearance being made at satisfactory rates. Large supplies of vegetables came forward, all lines showing a decline in value. Small fruits realised high prices. Quotations: — Pigs.—Weaners, 23s 6d to 30s; slips, 37s 6d to 40s; heavy stores, £2 15s to £2 17s; medium stores, 40s to 465; porkers, £3 Is to £3 10s; sows to farrow, £4. Poultry.—Best heavy hens, 6s 9d to 8s 4d each; medium, 5s to 6s Id, light 3s to 4s; prime cockerels (4mths), 8s 10d each, smaller Is lOd to 5s 7d each, roosters 3s to 4s 6d; young ducks and drakes, Ss to k2s Id each, others 5s to 6s; hens with ducklings, to 335; pullets, 4s lOd to 7s 4d. Produce.—Strawberries, to 7s Od chip; gooseberries, Is to Is 4d 11); tomatoes, 3s to 3s 8d lb; cauliflowers, 6s to 10s sack; peas, 9d to Is lb; broad beans, 6d to 8d lb; cabbage, 6s to 10s 6d sack; beetroot, 15s to 19s case; leeks, 10s to 12s 6d case; rhubarb, 7d to Is 6d bunch; radishes, 2s to 3s 3d dozen bunches; asparagus, Is 6d to Is 8d bunch; spring onions, 4s to 6s 3d bunch; white turnips, 6d to Is bunch; spinach, 12s to 16s case; lettuce (best), 12s to 15s case; others, 3s to 7s 6d; carrots, 34s cwt.
