“Life With Father"
This three-act comedy, “Life With Father,” has been staged continuously since November 8, 1939, in every big city iu America and has met with phenomenal success in other countries. In the magazine, Independent Women, November, 1944, it ia stated: “More than 2,000,000 people have paid almost 3,500,000 dollars to howl with delight .... By November 8, 1945, this classic will have played 2102 performances at the Empire Theatre alone .... To the more than 2,000,000 people who have seen ‘Life With Father’ in this city, add the nearly 3,000,000* who have seen it on its six cross-country tours, during which it has played in 156 cities and towns, grossing over 7,000,000 dollars. To soiue of the "key cities, ‘Life With Father’ has returned as many as four times.” In the choosing of “Life With Father” as their final production for 1945 the Palmerston North Little Theatre Society has ensured that tho public of the Manawatu receive entertainment worthy of their patronage. This play has been acclaimed by overseas theatregoers. It is a “Can’t Afford to Miss!” a definite “Mus.t see!” and comes to the Opera House at Palmerston North for a limited season of three nights commencing Thursday, November 22. Booking at Collinson and Cunninghame’s opens for the public on Wednesday, November 14, and for members on Tuesday the 13th. Remember, it is a Little Theatre Society presentation and the producer is Mr. Alf Kingston.
