Stability British Farmers’ Goal
LONDON, Nov. 8. j 11 Permanent stability of British agri- . culture depends upon dealing with the 1 problem of the distribution of farm products from both national and intcr- | national standpoints,” says a policy ! statement issued by the National j Farmers’ Union. This involves control j of imports and the organised marketing of home products. The union approves the steps taken to implement the Hot Springs resolutions and states that the basis of its policy is a continuation of price fixing and guaranteed markets and the extension of State aid. The union agrees to nominated peacetime counterparts of the county war agricultural committees with restricted powers. The statement makes numerous recommendations for domestic improvements, including credit facilities, better roading, water and electricity supplies and housing.
